The Primary Duties of this role will include;
* Overall farm management and administration
* Budgeting and expenditure control.
* Making and forwarding all reports concerning the farm e.g. Monthly reports, weekly reports, accident reports etc.
* Training, demonstrating and guiding on various farm operations.
* Ensuring security accountability and good custody of company assets, information and resources.
* Carrying out Trials at the farm level.
* Dealing with staff Retention & welfare.
* Maintaining good public relations about the farm
Qualifications:
* Must have a Degree in horticulture or related field from a recognized institution.
* Must possess certificates in F.A.C.T.S & B.A.S.I.S
* At least 5 years experience in a similar position managing a high labour intensive farm for growing among others things runner beans, mangetout, sugar snaps, tender stems broccoli, chilies and baby corn for export.
* Must have an understanding of the stringent European market, standards and related compliances in relation to food safety.
* Must possess strong attitude towards new product development, interpersonal skills and people management.
* Must be Computer literate
